Versatile, talented and passionate- these are only a few ways to describe city-based dancers, choreographers and performers, Dorothy & Amit popularly known as DNA. For the past two decades, they have earned a name for themselves as a prominent face in the field of dance and are trained in dance forms such as Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Tap, Hip-hop, Latin American dances as well as Kathak.
Entering the profession had its set of trials and tribulations, but their determination took them all the way from Bollywood to the Broadway Dance Center in New York City where DNA earned a professional degree in Dance in 2013.
Today, they are the proud owners and founders of DNA Danceworks Bodyworks and offer professional dance training programs for students & professionals, including a variety of Zumba-related fitness activities.
They stand as a prime example of someone who has turned their passion into a career and their dream into a reality, and they hope to be able to do the same for aspiring dancers and professionals in the country.
Amit and Dorothy Shaw have been consistently working towards the dance and arts community and have been greatly involved in bringing in and initiating dance education in eastern India independently since 1995.
