Versatile dancer, Pilates (fitness) instructor and choreographer Priyam Bose’s classes are currently running successfully in Kolkata.
The interactive and fun-filled classes strengthen the muscles, improve flexibility and focus on a basic understanding of movement in a contemporary dance environment.
Open to persons of all age groups, the sessions radiate sheer positivity and incorporate elements of littles challenges as well.
A basic warm-up is followed by an introduction to dancers’ yoga and basic body movement techniques, along with a short choreography and ending with a cool-down session.
She is currently teaching and running Salsawala Studios along with Hitesh in the heart of The City of Joy. Every class promises to rejuvenate the body as well as the mind, taking both to an entirely new plane of health and happiness.
Work Profile:
Has worked as an assistant choreographer in the Indian Film and Television Industry under the famous Chinni Prakash and his wife Rekha Prakash, she has trained extensively in an astonishing variety of dance forms and has years of experience.
Latest on the block is her work as an assistant choreographer for the movies Housefull4 , Thugs of Hindustan , Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Qaidi Band and Kapil Sharma’s venture, Firangi.
Also on her resume are the movies Singh is Bling and Brothers in 2015. She has worked and made a name for herself in the film industry in South India as well.
As part of a Dance Diploma Programme at the Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts and Mixed Media in Bangalore, she trained in Classical Ballet, Pilates, Jazz, Contact Improvisation, Flying Low, Kalaripayattu, Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Manipuri, Chhau and Contemporary Dance Techniques. Hip Hop and Latin dances like Salsa also form part of her repertoire.
She also worked as part of the company repertoire for three years after graduating in 2010.
Also under her belt is 10 years of training under Udayan, Mamata Shankar’s Eastern Ballet troupe, and four years of Kathak in Kolkata.
As an active member of a cinematic/Bollywood dance company in Kolkata, she performed at various events before joining Attakkalari.
She is also renowned in Chennai as one of the four finalists of the acclaimed reality dance competition Dance Tamila Dance, aired on Zee Tamil for over six months.
In 2016, she was placed as the runner-up for the Kannada dance reality show, Dance Dance, which aired on Star Suvarna for six months in Bangalore.
Collaborations: She has worked with internationally famed Bboy Storm, German choreographer Samir Akika in collaboration with the Goethe Institute Bangalore as a part of the Indo-German Urban Mela, and eminent actors like Simran, Kirti Sanon, Kamal Haasan, Rajnikanth, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Amir Khan to name a few.

1. Various corporate launches and cultural events since 2005 in India and abroad.
2. Award functions for ETv and Zee TV.
3. The prestigious Dhauli Kalinga Mahotsav in Bhubaneshwar, 2011.
4. The Others: A contemporary dance piece choreographed by Santhosh Madhav, at Alliance Francaise, Bangalore, as part of the Attakkalari Biennial Festival, 2012.
5. Represented India as part of India Day celebrations at Muscat and Bahrain in 2014.
6. in 2017 she was the face of an Adfilm shot on Kolkata for eminent German Director Marco Grandia.
