Group Art Director at Amar Chitra Katha
Savio Mascarenhas has been involved in the world of comics for the past 30 years. A commerce graduate with a post-graduation in advertising and public relations, he has worked in advertising as a copywriter for a couple of years. He started his stint as a freelance cartoonist for Tinkle comics in 1992 and joined as a full time staff artist in 1994. While at TINKLE he has co-created characters like: Mopes and Purr, Janoo and Wooly Woo, Super Suppandi, Adventures of Little Shambu. He is also the artist for Shikari Shambu for the past 25 years. Presently, he is the Group Art Director at Amar Chitra Katha Pvt.Ltd. Here he handles Amar Chitra Katha, and Tinkle, the fortnightly magazine for Kids.
